Chapter 12 - THE WAREHOUSE
They found Richard at an abandoned warehouse outside Philadelphia.
Daniel wanted the police.
Amanda insisted they couldn't wait.
Rachel stayed behind with the girls.
But when Daniel entered the warehouse, he found someone unexpected.
Charles Sanders.
Amanda's father.
Tied to a chair.
Richard stood behind him.
“You're late.”
Daniel raised his weapon.
“Let him go.”
Richard smiled.
“You still think this is about money.”
“What else is it?”
“Control.”
Richard pulled a file from his coat.
“Your father built an empire.”
“He's dead.”
“Exactly.”
Richard smiled.
“And now I control the people who inherit it.”
Daniel's eyes narrowed.
“You don't.”
Richard's expression changed.
“Check your bank accounts.”
Daniel's phone buzzed.
Millions were being transferred.
Richard had hacked the company.
But then another message appeared.
TRANSFER BLOCKED.
Daniel smiled.
Richard stared.
“How?”
Rachel's voice came from the warehouse entrance.
“Because you forgot one thing.”
Richard turned.
Rachel stood there.
Beside her were federal agents.
And Amanda.
Richard's face fell.
Rachel held up the original forged documents.
“You created copies.”
She smiled.
“But you forgot the originals.”
Richard stared at her.
“You don't understand what you've started.”
Rachel answered:
“No.”

She looked at Daniel.
“We finally understand.”
